Charlotte Farm Map
In the winter of 2022 an idea was born when the Charlotte Grange held a roundtable discussion with local farmers asking how the Grange might help them. The result is the map and directory below, now in its second edition. The Charlotte Farm Map highlights Charlotte farms selling food directly to consumers. Copies were inserted into the July 25th, 2024 edition of the Charlotte News and additional maps are available at the Town Hall, Library, local businesses, farm stands, and at upcoming Grange on the Green music concerts.
We hope you'll use your map to visit these amazing local farms - to nourish your family, enjoy the outdoors, and to deepen your own roots in Charlotte's food system.
This map was a team effort. It built off the framework of the Charlotte Land Trust's recent work to produce their very comprehensive and informative farm study. The vision was then made a reality by the graphic design work of Charlotte's own Rick Brokaw of SERIOUSdesign. The production costs were generously covered by the Charlotte News and several local donors. Grange members did the leg work, collecting information and doing our best to create a beautiful, accurate, and useful map and directory.
This is a new project for us, and we'd love to know what you think. Contact us at charlottegrangevt@gmail.com to be in touch or with any suggestions for future editions of this Charlotte Farm Map.
